Curriculum

The curriculum used at PIE is based on the teaching materials by Mark L. Sundberg, Ph.D and James W. Partington, Ph.D. "Teaching Language to Children with Autism or Other Developmental Disabilities" and The Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills Revised (The ABLLS-R). These manuals incorporate the principles outlined in Skinner's "Verbal Behavior" as well as many other skill areas, which must be mastered in order to lead an independent life.
